I am SO excited to share our amazing experience at Alexander Valley here in my blog. We had an incredible day in Healdsburg a few weeks ago and spent a full day with Alexander Valley Winegrowers to get a sneak peek of their “Experience Alexander Valley” event that’s coming up on June 22 & 23. Not only did we have the pleasure of visiting some of the wineries that will be participating in Experience Alexander Valley, but we also played some bocce, enjoyed a spectacular dinner, and stayed the night in a cozy hotel.
Each experience is limited to twenty guests. You’ll find everything from blending seminars with winemakers, to ravioli making, to brunch, and bocce in the vineyards. One & two day tickets are available.
We began the day at Trione Vineyards & Winery with some bubbles and a charcuterie platter before playing some bocce and tasting their delicious Pinot Noir.
While wine tasting in the Valley, it is highly recommended that you don’t drink and drive, so we arranged to have a designated driver provided by Four 54 Tours & Transportation.
Second stop of the day was Hawkes Wine. OMG, what a breathtaking view!!
The appetizers were to die for!! Their delicious Cabernet Sauvignon made for the perfect pairing!
After all that wine we were so happy, but also very hungry, so the charcuterie platter disappeared fast.
Ah, I can’t forget to mention we learned how to make wine barrels. It was fascinating to see this process. We were all so focused as we learned how it is done, and now I’m ready to construct my own!
The last stop was at Robert Young Winery for a tour of their caves. We had an unbelievable dinner paired with their marvelous wines. Have a look of this gorgeous property!!
I was completely shocked with the views at this truly outstanding winery.
The dinner table setting. The food provided by Catelli’s Restaurant and the wines were just perfect.
Cheers for the superb getaway and amazing experience!!
