A Perfect Getaway at the Cottage Grove Inn in Calistoga

We arrived on a Sunday morning for a “staycation” at the Cottage Grove Inn in Calistoga, which is the most comfortable boutique cottage I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing. The bed and the bathtub make for an awesomely cozy feeling!! My husband and I got a luxury cottage filled with character and charm, hardwood floors from an old whiskey distillery, vaulted ceilings with skylights, a king size bed, and a front porch with wicker rockers…perfect for warm summer nights or winter time!!

Cottage Grove Inn offers a full breakfast with a variety of choices such as quiche, fried potatoes, egg bagel sandwiches, homemade waffles, fruit smoothies, local granola, espresso, cakes, breakfast burritos, and much more. You can also enjoy your breakfast in your private room, but we preferred to stay and enjoy their beautiful breakfast room!!

In the evenings from 4pm to 6pm you can enjoy a complimentary wine pairing with local Calistoga wines as well as other hand-picked California wines. We had a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon and a cheese plate before going out to dinner.

The next morning we decided to get the bikes that they provide for their guests and we rode around the exquisitely charming town of Calistoga. It’s an easy ride and super pretty!!

I truly believe taking a moment for ourselves and resting in a cozy location is what we need to get away from all of life’s stresses.
