Arriving at Robert Young Estate Winery on a gorgeous Sunday in Alexander Valley. This was my second time visiting Robert Young Estate Winery. For my first time, we had an amazing dinner at The Scion House. During my second visit, we had an outstanding picnic lunch in the vineyard. We were welcomed with a delicious Sauvignon Blanc (my favorite white varietal) in their fancy tasting room.
The picnic was organized by my friend Emily Martin & the amazing hospitality team from Robert Young Estate Winery in the vineyard!! This view is from their hillside tasting room, which the guests can enjoy during their visit & wine tasting. They offer different experiences (check out all the wine tasting options here) in their location in Geyserville, CA.
Robert Young Winery is managed by members of the winery’s family, which makes you feel like you’re being hosted in their home. The team is very friendly and knowledgeable. Fred Young and his siblings founded Robert Young Winery in 1997 to continue the family tradition of excellence and hospitality. Today, visitors to the new and modern tasting room are welcomed as members of the extended family. We were hosted by Robert Young Junior, which was a special treat.
Now it is time to get in the truck and go for a ride through the vineyard!! How cool is that?? It was so much fun as you can see in the pictures below.
I’ve never had a picnic lunch in a vineyard before, so I was excited to be immersed in this unique environment. Gotta love being surrounded by all the beauty of the wine country! The lunch was phenomenal and composed of a yummy salad, chicken, and portobello mushrooms paired with spectacular different wines, including Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc & Cabernet Sauvignon.
Make sure to book an appointment at Robert Young Winery for an incredible wine tasting experience! You might just get an extra pour if you mention that Isabel Freeman from the Napavalleytip blog sent you there!! A huge thank you to Emily Martin for organizing everything, Robert Young for graciously hosting us all, and Elise Aileen for those beautiful pictures!!
Cheers,
Isabel Freeman (Napavalleytip)
